Turning to the network are some really cool stuff. Today, for example, I "discovered" this artist is called Jola Kudela, aka Yola . Polish woman who lives between Paris and London, Yola is many things: it is motion designer, compositing artist, visual director. She graduated from the prestigious film school in Lodz, Poland, and then she specialized in animation in Paris, at CFT Gobelins. One of his passions is photography and a few months ago A plan for street art in Warsaw, a contemporary reinterpretation of Renaissance art, reusable and updated for a series of frescoes that covered the facades of the palaces of the Praga district. The style is that of large paintings of the fan and everyone knows (Michelangelo, Piero della Francesca, etc.).. The choice of works from famous Yola says:
" In painting, transfer to a contemporary context icons and well-known and recognizable symbols is not new. The artists do it for ages ... take the Venus of Urbino by Titian, painted in 1538 and that, for the time, was quite revolutionary. Titian portrayed her in a completely different context from that accepted at the time. Venus was a Greek goddess, so it was thought that it should spend their time in the clouds of Olympus, all in white, not in a house in Florence. Centuries later, in 1863, a man named Manet ago Venus to play as a not too well known and respected prostitute. A scandal incredible! [...] I chose the paintings that anyone with a knowledge of art history in the media could recognize and appreciate that the dialogue of my work with the original. Even the Renaissance artists were no exception and used as models for their contemporaries, often taking controversial decisions ... hence my decision to include in my images some of the inhabitants of a district of Warsaw .
And so he did. Many of them are people of a certain age, choices - as explained by the author herself - with a slightly subversive intention among the guests at a reception center during the day:
" A kind of paradise of the fallen angels, they have all aged 60 and over, and they're ending their days in a place like this because they have lost the battle against the life she leads in the society in which they live. The same company that contributed all his life and now pays for them with a miserable pension, which is not enough to conduct a dignified existence. " There is to be expected, however, that the works of Yola tell of people afflicted and sad: "I expected to find human misery and instead I found a lot of people happy. [...] Botticelli believed that through the beauty and love we could achieve eternal happiness. I did not think a certain way while working on the final project, I just wanted to give the neighborhood a bit 'of beauty and joy. In the end, the opposite has happened: they were the neighborhood and its people who have brought into my life a lot of fun, joy, laughter and satisfaction .
On blog of Yola, there are other pictures, go see them! Yola is many things, can be found on its website
